With Thanksgiving over, I thought I’d throw back this blog to May of this year. A beautiful spring wedding I helped to photograph at Dominion Valley Country Club in Haymarket.
Earlier this year I had the privilege of being the second photographer for my good friend, and fellow photographer, Brooke. We very often work together, confusing brides and grooms alike with our similarish names. Nevertheless, we team it up so well and I cannot tell you how much I look forward to the days we get to shoot a wedding together!
This particular wedding was the day of Brooke’s bride, Priscilla and her fiancé Anthony. As second’s do, I grabbed the groom and his groomsmen getting ready which happened to be at Priscilla’s parent’s home.
Dominion Valley Country Club in Haymarket was the beautiful lush Spring backdrop for their wedding day.
I LOVE the shot of Priscilla peeking out the door to catch a glimpse of Anthony before they walked down the aisle!
I had SO much fun using Anthony’s sword for their ring detail shots.
This wedding that happened this May was spectacularly full of family. Priscilla comes from a large family, all sisters, and there was certainly nothing about this wedding that didn’t scream family.
Family-centric weddings have always been close to my heart. They drive in deep so many parts of what a marriage really is about. Beautiful details, pfft, of course I love them! But nothing beats a wedding that is dressed in the beauty of supportive, loving people around a couple.
Thanks for having me along, Brooke!
